However, discovering and embracing your own identity is a beautiful journey. If you grew up in a household or community where being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or otherwise wasn\u2019t openly celebrated, it\u2019s important to know that your feelings are valid.<\/p>\n<p>The rainbow shines brightly because it\u2019s made up of so many unique and vibrant colors, just like people. Everyone has their own path, and yours is just as important and valuable. Same-sex behavior is fairly common in the natural world. It has been reported in over 1500 animal species, including insects, fish and mammals.<\/li>\n<li>Religious people may reject homosexuality, but that doesn\u2019t apply to everyone who is religious. Persons attitudes towards gay, lesbian and bi people often differ within a single religion.<\/li>\n<li>Lesbian, gay, and bisexual people are just as diverse as anyone else. Some may express themselves in more traditionally feminine or masculine ways, just like people of any orientation.
