Support
It can really help to talk to someone you trust, like a partner, parents, or close friend. Having support makes it easier to navigate the decision and not face it alone. If you have doubts or concerns, or if you’re struggling with your relationship, don’t hesitate to talk to someone you trust. Health professionals are required to keep your information confidential, and they cannot share anything without your permission.
Reach out to CSGC, your doctor or Fundashon Famia Plania for guidance.

Providing medical consent
Girls 16 years and older can provide their own consent for medical procedures. Girls aged 12-16 years formally need the permission of their legal guardians. If she is aged between 12 and 16 years, but doesn’t have parental consent, or is worried about how her parents would react, an abortion is still possible. This needs to be determined in discussion with the doctor. Consent from a legal guardian is mandatory for those under the age of 12 years.
