What is transgender?

What is transgender?

Were you born a boy but feel more like a woman? Or were you born a girl but feel more like a man? Then maybe you are transgender. As a transgender person, you too can discover the world of love, sex and relationships. But maybe you have other questions about it.

Boy or girl?

Not everyone born a boy feels like a boy inside. And not everyone born a girl feels like a girl inside. If this applies to you, then you are transgender.

Non-binary

Some transgender people feel completely male or completely female, even though their gender at birth was different. But there are also those who don’t fit into either category, they are non-binary. They feel like something in-between. A bit of both, or maybe neither.

Pink and blue

Being transgender is not always easy. Sometimes the world seems to have been divided into two parts: pink and blue. Women’s clothing and men’s clothing. Men’s toilets and women’s toilets. But on closer inspection, there’s a lot more to it. The rainbow has many colors!

You and your body

If you are transgender, you often don’t feel 100% at home in your body. You can have your body adjusted with hormones and surgery. But you don’t have to. You may also be happy with your body and want to leave it as it is. Trust your feelings, only you know what you need.
