Why get an STI test
Do you think you might have an STI? Perhaps because you have symptoms, or you’ve had sex without a condom? Or someone you had sex with has an STI? You can be tested for STIs. Then you’ll know for sure whether or not you have one.

An STI test tells you whether or not you have an STI. Most STIs are easy to treat.
Where to get tested:
- Center for Sexual Health Curaçao (CSGC): All members of the community are welcome to CSGC for STI testing. Contact CSGC to arrange your STI test.
- Doctor referral: You can visit your General Practitioner (GP) and request an STI test. Your doctor will provide a lab form, which you can take to any of the three laboratories on the island for your test: Analytisch Diagnostisch Centrum (ADC), Laboratorio de Medicos (Lab de Med) or Medical Laboratories Services Curaçao (MLS). If you have local health insurance, this will be covered.
- Laboratories: You can also go directly to any of the three laboratories on the island, Analytisch Diagnostisch Centrum (ADC), Laboratorio de Medicos (Lab de Med) or Medical Laboratories Services Curaçao (MLS), and request an STI test. Laboratories charge a fee for these tests, which you will need to pay yourself.
